Kogi guber: LP candidate promises development through minerals, agriculture 




The candidate of the Labour Party in the Saturday governorship election  in Kogi state, Barr. Adejoh Okeme, has promised to harness the abundant resources to develop the state if elected the next governor of the state

Barr. Adejoh, who made the pledge, Thursday, while briefing the media at the Kogi state NUJ Press Centre, assured that the mineral deposits, arable land and tourism would be harnessed to transform the state.

According to him, the state Ministry of Works will not sleep under his administration, assuring that it will form the bulwark of construction in the state using indigenous engineers and professionals.

While noting that leadership has remained a problem of the state, the LP candidate promised a robust leadership that will be fair and transparent in governance.

Barr Adejoh promised to ensure the welfare of teachers and health workers, pledging to revive the primary health care system of the state.

Lamenting the collapse of public school system, Adejoh also promised to improve on education in the state and give the sector a thorough facelift.

He said his administration will serve as a unifying factor, with investment massively in sports infrastructure for the teeming youth.

For people with disabilities, Barr Adejoh promised high level of care for their special needs, assuring that they would not be treated with disdain.
