Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi Central Senatorial District, Hon. Ahovi Salam Ibrahim, has described as “mischievous,” a purported publication where he was alleged to be party to those that fi led a suit for stay of action over Senator Dino Melaye’s recall. He made this known in Lokoja yesterday at a press conference while reacting to his purported involvement in a case marked FHC/ABJ/CS/601/2017 at the Federal High Court, Abuja. Ibrahim, who argued that he was never a constituent of the embattled senator, noted that it “smacks of abuse of constitutional right to stand against the people of Kogi West Senatorial District who have followed necessary procedures to put to check the excesses of their representative at the National Assembly.”

While calling on the people to disregard the information and support the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello to implement his New Direction agenda, Ibrahim refl ected on how he joined other wellmeaning people in the state to ensure victory for his party, a feat he emphasised must not be toyed with. It is time to reconcile all tendencies in the fractured party leadership in order to recover from the loss of decades of maladministration in the state,” he said. He pointed out that the administration of Governor Bello must not fail as that would make a mess of the divine power rotation which was ordained by God
