Keyamo inspects Ekiti Agro-Allied Cargo Airport 

 

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, was on a two-day working visit to Ekiti State to inspect the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport in Ado-Ekiti.

The Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Tunde Moshood in a press statement issued on Wednesday said the visit is aimed at assessing the airport’s readiness for non-schedule passenger operations.

He said the Minister was warmly received by the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, alongside key members of the Ekiti state government. During the inspection, 

He said the Minister commended the state-of-the-art facilities and the airport’s international-standard runway, which positions it as a hub for agro-cargo and emerging passenger operations.

According to him, the recent approval by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for non-schedule passenger operations marks a significant milestone in the airport’s development.
