Keffi MFB wins CBN awards in agric devt

For the second time in a row Keffi Micro-Finance Bank has emerged winner of the coveted 2013 Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) award on Agriculture financing in Nasarawa state.
Last year, the Bank also emerged winner for 2012 awards, a feat it had repeated this year, beating First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) to second position.

The award is in recognition of the bank’s contribution to the development of Agriculture through farmers cooperative loan schemes and its assistance to other Small Scale Business in the state.
Managing director of the Bank, Alhaji Rajab Baba-Haske expressed gratitude to the CBN for the award, saying the award only spur the bank to do more.

He also assured that the Bank was now poised and encouraged to do more in Agricultural development and small scale businesses, particularly for the rural dwellers.

He called on the government to do more for the Bank by way of assisting rural farmers through the well-structured micro banks agricultural financing schemes already established by the banks to shore up agricultural inputs from the rural communities.
