Kefas’ policies aimed at poverty alleviation, says council chair 

 

The council chairman of Gassol LGA, Taraba state, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq, Sunday said the policies and programmes of the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas are geared towards winning battle against poverty in the state.

In an exclusive interview with Blueprint in Gassol LGA of the state, he said Governor Kefa’s policies and programmes is working on how to reduce poverty in Taraba. 

He added that Governor Kefa’s administration since inception has established a good governance by providing true dividend of democracy for the people of the state.

“Governor Kefas has done wonderfully well for us as a people under his watch. We now enjoy free education, power supply, and massive road construction and prompt payment of workers’ salary.

“We can all attest to the fact that Governor Kefas’ efforts brought unity, and stability in the state. Governor Kefas efforts has also  brought insecurity to its feet because   before his administration came on board,  Taraba state was battling with varying degrees of insecurity, ranging from banditry,  kidnapping, herders – farmers conflicts which was a nightmare for us all.  But immediately he assumed office, he swung into action and we all sleep with our eyes closed now,” he noted.

Abubakar praised the governor for sharing palliatives to sons and daughters of the state and   added that the gesture would go a long way to cushion the severe economic hardship faced by citizens. 

“Outside the food items shared, he has equally provided fertilisers to farms in the state to assist farmers during this year’s farming season,” he stated.

He added that no amount of offer can stop the people of Gassol LGA of the state from supporting the administration of Governor Kefas to revive the state.
