KEDCO and Kafin- Hausa community

Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) is the supplier of electricity to Kano and Jigawa states. Kafin-Hausa in Jigawa state is one of the oldest, largest, widest and most populated local government even in old Kano state and the present day Jigawa, but it has been deprived and neglected by the above company.
There were series of calls, meetings, complaints and appeals to the company and even a peaceful protest was recently done all to tell the relevant bodies on the poor supply of power in the town for almost a year now but nothing has been done about it and most disheartening, there was no evidence of mechanical or electrical faults. As it was calculated in this month of April (April 1- 23- 2018) they only enjoyed 38 hours power supply out of 552 hours despite the improvement of power supply across the country.
Kafi n-Hausa has been without light for good four days and the people didn’t mind KEDCO’s exorbitant charges they bring every month without rendering the services. What a justification! What a deceit!! What a society!!! We appeal to the KEDCO and relevant authorities to intervene so as to ameliorate situation. May God Almighty make it easy for us. Mohammed U.
