At the ceremony in Birnin Kebbi, Comrade Nasir Idris, thanked the Federal Ministry of Health for giving Kebbi state the opportunity to host the zonal office.
“I am extending special gratitude to the Hon. Minister for Health for recognising the suitability of Kebbi to host the NHIS North west zone, this is history making and a privilege. Kebbi state is highly happy about this honour.
“I learnt that the office is in need of furniture, I have graciously approved the sum of N20 million for the items, the Hon. The Commissioner for Finance, as a matter of urgency, should release the money to do the needful.
“The incumbent administration is ever ready to accommodate the zonal office and we shall partner with the NHIS to improve the health indices of the state,” Governor Nasir stated.
The Governor who inaugurated the board of the Kebbi State Investment Promotion Agency, KIPA, on the occasion, said, from now, the government has digitalised the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy, C-of-O, through KEBGIS.
“Those seeking Certificate of Occupancy or in need of recertification must go through KEBGIS and no longer through the Ministry of Lands and all further C-of-O is now digital. We have embraced simplicity through modernity,” the governor said.
