The Kebbi state government Wednesday said it plans to spend N580.32 billion in 2025 for its services to the people.
Of the amount, N453 billion is set aside for capital expenditure while N127.3 billion is earmarked for recurrent services.
Entitled: “Budget of Economic and Infrastructural Consolidation”, Governor Nasir Idris presented the fiscal document to the House of Assembly for ratification.
Comrade Idris told the legislators that the budget was premised on the projected revenue of N235.2 billion Federation Account Allocation, and about N26 billion internally generated.
“We shall undertake major changes in the justice sector to keep Kebbi safe and friendly in investment.
“Furthermore, the Rural Road Agency will be made fully operational to hasten rural transformation.
“Rehabilitation of the KoKo-Mahuta-Dabai Road is a matter of urgency to allow the people to enjoy the benefits of infrastructural development.
“The road is federal owned, but Kebbi state government has concluded all procedures and obtained the final legal document granting permission to the state government to take over construction of the road.
“The administration will soon announce date for the flag off of the project,” Comrade Nasir declared.
The governor was delighted about the improvement of fiscal ranking of Kebbi state in budget performance and revenue generation.
