Emir of Kazaure in Jigawa state, Alhaji Najeeb Hussaini Aadmu, has pledged to support any organisation that was willing to boost the health status of his subjects.
He made the pledge yesterday when he received a team of ophthalmologists from the Ministry of Health who were in the palace on a courtesy visit.
The emir then advised the doctors to present their plan of action to his palace in order to determine where it could assist them in its implementation.
Earlier, leader of the team, Dr. Abdullahi Muhammad Bulangu,  who is the director of Disease control in the Ministry of Health, expressed their appreciation for “the kind support andcontributions” they enjoyed from the emir.
He said the programme of eye surgery  they conducted was being sponsored by the ministry in collaboration with the Christophel
Blind Mission (CBM), adding that it was assisting hundreds of people with various eye infections like cataract and river blindness, amongst others.
