Kazaure emir distributes foodstuff, animals, cash to 14,568 as Zakkat

Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Hussainin Adamu, at the weekend, led the distribution of foodstuff, animals and cash worth about N27 million he collected as Zakkat from his subjects by the Zakkat committee of the Emirate.
Blueprint reports that at least 18,484 bundles of guinea corn, millet, 121 bags of rice, four bags of maize, two bags of sesame, and sheep were collected
as zakkat from the nine districts of the emirate and were distributed to 14,658 poor people across the emirate.

Speaking at the occasion, the emir noted that all the disasters, crises, oppressions, poverty, difficulties   as well as other calamities happening across the globe, including Nigeria, were possible because people had deviated from the path of God.

“We can never escape from such problems until we change our attitude and embrace the right path,” he said.
He said God gave Nigeria everything, including the clerics who would guide and teach the people about the right path of God, adding that it was left for them to think about the best way out.

While commending the committee, he urged wealth individuals to give out zakkat as at when due, pointing out that “zakkat reduces poverty, crimes, and cleans the wealthy and boosts the economy.”
