Katsina assembly deputy speaker empowers constitutes, supports good governance

The Deputy Speaker of the Katsina state House of Assembly, Hon Abduljalal Haruna Runka, has launched an empowerment program with N15million benefiting more than two thousand people in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina.

The state governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, while flagging off the program in Safana, commended the efforts of Hon Abduljalal Haruna Runka noting that the empowerment is a stimulus to raising the economic status of the people.

Governor Radda expresses appreciation to the law maker for supporting the state government to wade off poverty, provide security and advance the people economically and socially.

The empowerment program included start-up capitals for small businesses, Educational Grants and Scholarships, as well as interventions and support to security apparatus in Safana Local Government Area.

The Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Runka, while welcoming guests at the occasion said  he was inspired by the actions of the State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, especially on national development through the advancement of Katsina state and the people.

The Deputy Speaker assured the people of Katsina that the choice of Malam Dikko as Governor of the State will remain a good omen and a source of pride to Nigeria, adding that Governor Radda is transforming to a National leader who believes in the unity of the country, equal justice, fairness and the doctrine of civility.

Those who witnessed the flagging off of the Hon Abduljalal Haruna Runka Economic Empowerment and Security Intervention in the Speaker of the Katsina State House Assembly, Hon Nasir Yahaya Daura, members of Katsina State House of Assembly, Chairman Safana LG Hon Kabir Kalgo and the District Head of Safana, Alhaji Sada Rufai.
