The indigenes of Karshi in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have called on the FCT Minister, Sen. Bala Mohammed to remain committed to his 90 days deadline on Karshi/Apo road project.
The indigenes under the aegis of Karshi Development Association (KDA) stated this as part of its resolution with regard to the slow space of work on the road.
The association, through its chairman, comrade Kasimu Teacher, revealed this shortly after inspecting the Karshi/Apo road project yesterday.
According to him, the minister had promised after he spoke to the team of engineers on 16th February, 2015 that Karshi/Apo road project had reach 60 percent completion and would be completed within the stipulated period of 90 days.

“The truth of the matter as gathered by KDA is that, the minister should motorcade the road to see for himself the state of the work and stop hearing and listening from those who did not mean well for his administration,” the group said.

Meanwhile, the group has congratulated the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari for his victory in the recently concluded Presidential election.
The chairman of the association, therefore, called on the President-elect to remain committed to his campaign promises, adding that Karshi was one time an area council during his reign as a military head of state, but short-lived by unanticipated 1985 military coup.
They appealed to Buhari to use his good offices to re-instate their area council as part of his 100 days in office project and also to implement section 299, 300, 301, 302 and 304 of the 1999 constitution as amended, which provided for Mayoral status for the FCT indigenes and ministerial slot.
