Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano state Wednesday charged the seven newly appointed commissioners to strive to live above board in fulfilling their obligations as new members of his cabinet.
Speaking at the sweating in of the new commissioners held at Kano Government House, Yusuf said their appointment came on the heels of the cabinet reshuffle which led to the exit of some commissioners and the reassignment of others who swapped positions in some of the ministries.
He stated that effecting cabinet reshuffle was meant to reinvigorate and fine-tune the inner workings of the government for maximum result to be achieved, adding that good governance and service delivery has been the major cardinal thrust of his leadership.
He stated that no responsible government would love to pay lip service to the quest for serving humanity with vigour at the time the people of the state place much expectation on government.
He further stated that the crave for upholding public trust has been the corner stone of his leadership. And that he would leave no stone unturned in achieving the desired goals.
