Kano state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, has elected Alhaji Aminu Hamza as its new chairman, to replace Alhaji Sule Yau Sule, who was recently elected as a council member of the institute’s national body.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Executive of the Kano state chapter of the institute, Mustapha Ibrahim Fagge.
Fagge said: “The ex-chairman stated that the rules and regulation governing the institution forbid any person to hold two positions at the same time, as such it is important to hand over the mantle of leadership of the state chapter to a person with proving integrity, honesty, decorum and assiduous, to man the affairs of the institution.

“He re-affirmed that the institute will sustain the tempo of organizing quarterly professional development lecture, with a view to ensuring professionalism in the practice of public relations.

“He said that the major challenge of the body in Kano is the issue of revenue generation and that the chapter suffers a lot in terms of financing programmes.”
He quoted Sule as urging the new chairman to wake up and improve the revenue through advocacy campaign for more membership, patronage amongst others.
He added that the executive council members of the institute unanimously elected Sule to his current position.
