Kano metropolitan residents hail KARMA on road repairs

Following the major repairs effected by Kano Road Maintenance Agency (KARMA), residents of the ancient city have commended the agency on road maintenance and repairs.

Residents, who spoke to Blueprint described the administration of Governor Abba  Kabir Yusuf as one that had taken steps to ensure that projects are designed and properly executed to a logical conclusion.

A resident,  Malam Shehu Kurawa, said the administration has remarkably effected the repairs of township roads that became dilapidated and utterly neglected by the immediate past administration.

He said KARMA under the leadership of Alhaji  Ado Jibrin Kankatofi has effected giant strides  in making Kano roads accessible, adding that with the inception of the present administration, motorists and commuters have found succor.

Speaking in the same vein, another resident of the ancient city, Malam Ibrahim Daneji commended the agency for projecting a good image for the state government at the time motorists and commuters were bitterly complaining.

He also advised drivers of trailers and other heavy duty vehicles to be circumspect in plying areas considered to be exceptionally designed for lighter vehicles that do not possess the capacity to inflict serious damage on the repairs so far effected.

He called on road users to be law abiding while playing the roads at all times, stressing however that using the roads properly would be the best way of reciprocating the laudable gesture of the agency.
