The Kano-Jigawa Professionals Forum (KJPF) weekend held its 3rd Mentoring Programme with paper presentations aimed at encouraging participants to embrace professionalism and advance in their chosen professions.
The programme which was organised in collaboration with the Dangote Business School and Centre For African Enterprises Studies And Research, Bayero University, Kano(BUK), featured papers presented by various scholars and professionals from the academia and other fields of human endeavour.
The programme with the theme: “Climbing Up The Ladder of Your Profession: Challenges And Opportunities,” was held at the Dangote Business School, Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
The chairman of the forum, Dr Shamsuddeen Usman, a former minister of Burget and National Plannig, said in his remarks that the programme was conceived to encourage young professionals from Kano and Jigawa states to embrace professionalism and advance in their various professions “with a view to developing their abilities and identifying opportunities in their chosen careers.”
Usman said the third mentoring programme was strategically tailored to enable the participants to deepen their understanding of opportunities as inherent in their various professions.
He said the programme was also organised to encourage the participants to be innovative in terms of using their professions so as to achieve self-realisation as being witnessed globally, as well as create good relationships between the mentors and the mentees through the sustenance of lesson learning.
