Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has been described as a role model of excellence in the present democratic dispensation whose giant strides were unprecedented in every sphere
Making the remark while speaking to newsmen in Kano Wednesday, Chairman of the NNPP Media Forum, Alhaji Nura Bakwankwashe said the governors scorecard in governance had proven to everyone that he was equal to the task in all spheres of leadership
He said the giant strides he effected on education was enough to convince doubting Thomas’s that he had lived up to expectation, stressing that with purposeful leadership, the road to achieving his ambition as a selfless leader would never be a far cry.
He pointed out that the desire for credible leadership was most needed in a genuine democratic setting, saying that the governor had stood firm in realising the feat.
He also posited that he Dr Yusuf had proven his mettle in that that regard.
Commenting on the appointment of seven new commissioners in the wake of the cabinet reshuffle he effected recently, he stated that what the governor did was akin to putting square pegs in square holes.
