Kano engages 402 female corporate security personnel

Kano state government has issued letters of appointment to 402 First Batch Female Corporate Security personnel who recently graduated from the Kano Corporate Security Training Institute and posted to various ministries, parastatal, schools and other agencies of government.
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Corporate Security, Dr. Kabiru Hamisu Kura, presented the appointment letters to the personnel at the end of a 2-day drilling and re-training parade organized to keep them fit and be prepared for the challenges of modern security operations.
He said the drilling and parade exercise were approved by Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in order to shape their mental and physical abilities and re-assured that it will be a continuous exercise.
The Senior Special Assistant expressed that as women security personnel, a lot was being expected from them owing to the current security challenges, urged them to live above board and avoid absenteeism, late coming and closing before official closing time.
He disclosed that arrangements had reached advanced stage to ensure that were included in the channel of advancement and progression in accordance with the rules governing the Civil Service.
Kura advised them to be wary of unsuspecting persons loitering in and outside the premises of their duty posts, adding that the primary role of security was to prevent occurrence of crime in all its ramifications.
