Out-of-favour Nigeria international Sani Kaita has not ruled out a departure from Saxan Ceadîr Lunga in the January transfer window, despite signing a deal in August that ties him to the club until next summer.
The defensive midfielder has admitted that he penned a deal with Saxan in his bid to regain full fitness following a brief stint with Enyimba, and his recovery is going much better than he expected.
“Of course, the league here, you cannot compare it to other leagues, but the level is okay. It’s all about getting fit, and I am damn fit now, which is important for me now,” Sani Kaita said to SL10.ng.
“I didn’t sign for other clubs because Saxan showed more seriousness at that time, so we’ll see what happens in the January transfer window.
“It may be possible that I leave in January, but right now I am here and I’ll work until I get a break.”
According to the ex Monaco and Sparta Rotterdam man, there is a clause in his contract that permits him to leave the club if a better offer is received.
“I signed a one – year contract but I can go anytime I want as it is. I am not thinking about that now, I’m just focused to play matches and see what happens next,” Sani Kaita concluded.
Kaita has been a frequent starter for Saxan Ceadîr Lunga, having made 10 appearances in the Divizia Nationala since his move.
