Kaduna: Uba Sani constitutes 8-man committee to assess ongoing projects 

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has set up an 8-man committee to determine the status of projects started by the previous administration but yet to be completed.

A statement signed by the chief press secretary to the governor, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, and made available in Kaduna Monday, said the committee, which will be chaired by the special adviser, Investment & Promotion to the governor, Sabiu Sani, with the senior special assistant to the governor on ICT, Shuaibu Kabir Bello, as secretary, is expected to round up its work within a month. 

“The governor of Kaduna state, Sen.  Uba Sani has approved the constitution of a committee to determine the status of all ongoing projects across the state, including those in the pipeline. This is in line with the government’s commitment to speedily complete all priority projects.

“The committee has the following terms of reference: To determine the status of all ongoing projects across the state and get the details of contractual agreements/obligations. It will also find out the funding arrangements and commitments of parties and the completion period of the projects and come up with specific recommendations on each project. 

“The committee has four weeks from the inaugural meeting to submit its report. Members of the committee are: Sabiu Sani, Special Adviser, Investment & Promotion – Chairman;

Dr. Abdullahi B. Ahmed, Special Adviser, Project Monitoring, Implementation and Result Delivery – Member;  Dr. Mustapha Musa, Special Adviser, Legal – Member; Fabian Okoye, Special Adviser, Research, Documentation & Strategy – Member.”

Other members are: Ibrahim T. Muhammad, Special Adviser, Economic Matters – Member: Atiku Sankey, Special Adviser, Peace and Conflict Resolution –  Member: Larai Ishaku  – Member and Shuaibu Kabir Bello, Senior Special Assistant, ICT – Secretary.”
