FCMB kicked off the defence of their Kaduna Corporate League Cup title on bright note after trashing debutants, Bank of Agriculture 6-3 on Saturday.
The match, which took place at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium training pitch, saw Yazed scored a hattrick for FCMB, Muazu, Emma and Abdulaziz scored one each for the defending champions, FCMB to make it six, while Peterson, Abraham and Omale scored a goal apiece for BOA.
The Kaduna Corporate League Cup, which entered 10th edition this year, entertained another high tempo match between CBN and Sterling Bank, who played an exciting 2-2 draw.
CBN jumped into the lead with a blinder from Orlando Obadiah in the 15th minute of the game, Rabiu Musa equalised for Sterling in the 32nd minute. Aminu Yahaya put CBN into the lead again with a simple jab in the 62nd minutes, while Samuel Francis killed CBN’s joy with another screamer three minutes to the end of the game to end the game 2-2.
The third match between GT Bank and Fidelity Bank was postponed till next week Sunday. Next set of matches comes up on Saturday, 15th of March, 2020. FCMB are the defending champions.
