Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has pledged to fully educate and enlighten all intending pilgrims from the state on Hajj rites and other issues on the dos and don’ts of the operations before their departure to Holy Land.

Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Kasimu, made the pledge during an inspection tour of pilgrims’ enlightenment centres across the 23 local government areas at the weekend.
Kasimu said the Board had since streamlined the trainings of the pilgrims and promised that all efforts had been put in place to ensure that pilgrims from the state were already knowledgeable of Hajj rites before embarking on the journey.

He advised the intending pilgrims to be patient and law abiding in order to have an acceptable Hajj, saying: “Our Noble Prophet was reported to have said that whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity nor commit any evil will return as sinless as a new-born child.”
Kabiru expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the enlightenment efforts at the centres and urged the pilgrims to acquire knowledge on how to perform Hajj.
According to him, each year, the board organises enlightenment trainings in all the 23 LGs that serve as registration centres for the intending pilgrims from state.

“Such training normally runs for three to four months and is being attended by intending pilgrims every Saturday and Sunday.”

While welcoming the emir, he commended the Board for organising the workshop and urged the pilgrims to be  good ambassadors of the state and the country while in the Holy land.
The emir, who was represented by the District Head of Birnin Gwari Gari, Alhaji Jafaru Zubair Jibril, called on the intending pilgrims to always abide by instruction given to them by the officials of the board.
