Kaduna APC: Baba-Ahmed returns as chairman

Five days after he resigned,   the chairman of Kaduna state Interim Management Committee of All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has withdrawn his resignation after what he referred to as “appeals from elders.”
Speaking at a news briefing yesterday, Baba-Ahmed said a lot of elders and well-meaning members of APC had been appealing to him since he tendered his resignation to rescind the decision.

According to him, he has decided to withdraw the letter of resignation and consequently, “I have resumed fully as chairman of Kaduna state Interim Management Committee.’’
Baba-Ahmed said that he regretted the incontinences that his earlier resignation has caused the party and “I recognise the fact that leadership is a burden and a responsibility and the need to listen to the voices of the people that you are leading.”

He said the IMC would work with the party’s representatives that came from the national headquarters in order to commence a hitch-free registration that will commence next Monday.

The chairman expressed the hope that those that had been saddled with the responsibility would discharge it fairly and equitably.
“I appeal to all our members to submit themselves to the registration exercise,” he added.
