Kaduna: Afana district head hails assembly over el-Rufai investigation

A former district head of the defunct Afana district in Kajju chiefdom, Zango-Kataf local government area of Kaduna state, Mr Kure Mallam, has showered accolades on the Kaduna state House of Assembly, over its decision to investigate activities of the immediate past governor of the state, Mallam Nasir el-Rufa’i.

The former district head who stated this recently on Invicta FM, Kaduna, also said the committee set up by the House of Assembly should also beam its search light on activities of the governor concerning traditional institutions in the state, particularly Kajju chiefdom.

Kure, a former member of the Kaduna state House of Assembly and the Mabudin Bajju, said his people were 100 percent in support of the decision of the House of Assembly as the move will unravel a lot of irregularities perpetrated by the immediate past administration.

He reminded the current Kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani, of the letter they wrote to his office seeking review of  the appointment of the present Agwam Kajju, Mr Luka Kogi Yabuwat, and give the Kajju people the Agwam of their choice.

Kure lamented that former Governor el-Rufa’i imposed an unpopular paramount ruler on the Kajju nation, a decision he said did not go down well with most Bajju people.
