A group under the aegis Kwande Journalists Forum (KJF) Tuesday expressed its unwavering support for Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia and passed a vote of confidence on his administration’s efforts to transform Benue state.
In a communiqué issued at the end of its monthly congress, signed by Comrade Ibya Henry, chairman, and James Shim, secretary of the forum, the KJF commended Governor Alia’s giant strides in the past 20 months, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, infrastructure and agriculture.
The forum noted that the governor’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and good governance has been evident in his efforts to address the challenges facing the state.
The KJF also praised the chief press secretary to the governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, for his exceptional professional expertise and dedication to his role.
The forum observed that Kula has demonstrated outstanding ability in publicising the governor’s vision and policies, and commended his commitment to service.
It condemned in totality attempts by some individuals to distract Kula from his duties and urged him to remain focused and ignore the enemies of progress.
The forum expressed confidence that Governor Alia and his team will continue to deliver on their promises to take Benue state to greater heights.
The forum further pledged its full solidarity with Governor Alia’s administration and his CPS, urging them to continue their efforts to change the narrative of underdevelopment in Benue state.
