Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday postponed its Ekiti state governorship campaign presidential flag-off over the Jos twin bomb blasts that left over 100 people dead.
The leadership of the party postponed the presidential flag-off billed for today, Thursday by one week.
PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, said “the postponement is in honour of the victims of the unfortunate bomb blast in Jos, the Plateau state capital.”
The party restated that it was committed to the plights of Nigerians in the light of the security challenges facing our nation.
“Our hearts reach out to the victims and their families and we pray that all Nigerians unite as we say no to terrorism,” it said.
The PDP, however, prayed that the insurgents “will release our abducted girls for them to re-unite with their families.”
