Jonathan visits Niger on Saturday

President Goodluck Jonathan is expected in Minna, Niger state capital, on Saturday, the state governor, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has said

Aliyu who revealed this yesterday in Minna, said all the 18 governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be in the president entourage
Although he did not give details of the presidential visit, he said “all of you are cordially invited”.

Blueprint learnt that he will lead a PDP rally.
The state security committee went into a closed door meeting immediately after the courtesy visits, ostensibly to perfect arrangements for the visit.

Meanwhile, Minna has been beautified in preparation for the visit.
Contractors handling the Suleja -Minna road project awarded by the federal government since 2011 were seen to have moved equipment from over 40km to Minna axis of the road project, which had been on slow pace.
