Katsina state government has concluded arrangement to receive President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan today for a two-day official visit to the state.
According to the programme of events made available to newsmen in Katsina, the president is expected to arrive in the ancient city of Katsina by 10am, and would commission projects executed by the Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema administration.
The programme indicated that the projects to be commission by President Jonathan included the multi- billion naira Katsina Ring Road, the magnificent new Katsina Government House, and the 250-bed space Katsina Orthopaedic Hospital.
Other projects to be commissioned are the Olympic Size Katsina Stadium, named Karkanda Stadium, and the Songhai Multi- Purpose Farm.
Similarly, the president would inspect some of the federal government projects in the state, which included the Mararrabar Rimi Wind Mill electricity project and the Federal University of Agriculture, Dutsin-ma.
The president would pay a royal visit to the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, and his Daura counterpart, Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq.
The government, therefore, called on the people of Katsina state to come out enmasse to welcome “Mr. President during the visit and pray for a happy stay in Katsina.”
