Jonathan sacks Political Adviser, Gulak

Abdullahi M. Gulloma

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday terminated the appointment of his Special Adviser (Political), Alhaji Ahmed  Gulak, with immediate effect.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati.
No reason was given for the sudden sack of the erstwhile political adviser, but sources said Gulak was relieved of his appointment following a running battle with some governors believed to be close to the president.

Abati said the president commended Gulak for his services to the present administration and wished him success in his future endeavours.
He said a replacement for Gulak would be announced by the president in due course.
