Jigawa: Mass recruitment of workers’ll bring peace, sanity – HoS 

The Jigawa state Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad Dagacire, Monday, said the permanent and pensionable employment offered to thousands of youth recently by the state government will bring peace, sanity and unprecedented development across the nooks and crannies of the state. 

Dagacire commended the giant stride made by Governor Umar Namadi while speaking to our reporter, weekend in Dutse and said, such mass recruitment of youth has never been done in the history of the state. 

“The mass recruitment which included 3,143 permanent teachers, 1,005 permanent health workers, including doctors and junior staff, 1,440 temporary agricultural extension workers will enhance public service delivery in the state.

“It will also save and increase the funds in the state contributory pension scheme, provide more jobs opportunities by increasing money circulation in the state.

“Within one year, Governor Namadi has made a difference from the previous administrations and this worth commendation and we are grateful,” he stated.

Also, the chairman of the National Union of Teachers (NUT), Jigawa state chapter, Comrade Abdulkadir Yunusa, said the presentation of the offer to 3,143 permanent teachers across the 27 local government areas by state government is commendable.

The 3,143 had served as temporary teachers for two years and they are now absolved to permanent, at the same time a portal was open to recruit 3,000 temporary teachers and so far over 10,000 have already applied.
