‘Jesus’ arrested after vowing to restore 7 corpses back to life

A controversial pastor and founder, Children of Light Anointing Ministries Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Mr Onyebuchi Okocha (alias Onyeze Jesus), has been arrested by the state police command.
Onyeze Jesus, who had paraded some unclad people in a viral video where he equally threw some Naira currency into a river, claimed that he would restore about seven corpses back to live on January 28.
The state command’s public relations Officer, CSP Haruna Muhammed, who confirmed his arrest, declined further comment on it.

However, a source said he was arrested on Wednesday and was to be arraigned in an undisclosed court on Thursday January 28, a day he earlier scheduled to raise dead to life.
Blueprint recalls that Mr C. Don Adinuba, the Anambra state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, had in a statement condemned the trending video while warning the suspect to desist from ‘criminal and indecent conduct in the name of religion’.

Similarly, the state Ministry of Health, in a statement signed by the permanent secretary, Mr Nwankwo Nwabueze, warned hospitals and mortuaries operating in the state not to allow ‘Onyeze Jesus’ access to their facilities to carry out the claim of raising the dead back to life.
