Jere monarch seeks doctor, borehole for PHC

Chief of Jere, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar has called on the Kaduna state government to provide a medical doctor and borehole at the Jere Primary HealthCare Centre to enhance effective health delivery in the area.
Speaking at the first round of maternal, newborn and children health week held at Jere in Kagarko local government area of Kaduna state, Sa’ad, who commended the state government’s efforts in providing quality healthcare services to the people, said such effort would be in vain if there was no medical doctor to cater for the ill people at the healthcare centre.
The chief, who was represented by the Dallatun Jere, Alhaji Umaru Abubakar, commended the wife of the governor, Hajiya Fatima Yero, for her care and support to the wellbeing of women and children in the state.

Hajiya Yero, in her remarks, called on women to take advantage of the free medical treatment for pregnant women and children below five years to improve their health. She also stressed on the need to always give children proper healthcare to enable them grow healthy and avail them for the free routine immunisation and IPDS exercise.
Chairman of Kagarko local government area, Mr. Yusuf Danjuma Akuso, expressed gratitude to the wife of the governor for visiting the area to monitor the conduct of the child health week, and assured that the council would ensure success of all health programmes in the state.
