Jega appears before Ayu, Nnamani today

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, will today appear before the National Conference committee co-chaired by two former Senate Presidents, Senators Iyorchia Ayu and Ken Nnamani.
The INEC chairman will meet the members of the Political Parties and Electoral Matters committee by 10am, at the NICON Luxury hotels, venue of the committee sitting to brief members of the arrangements already put in place by the commission ahead of the 2015 general elections.

Jega, a former President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will also answer questions from the delegates on a number of issues relating to elections in the country, particularly the forthcoming governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states.
He will also use the opportunity to acquaint the delegates of some of the challenges facing the commission with a view to proferring solution to them.
Ayu confirmed to delegates yesterday that the INEC Chairman has already affirmed his preparedness to appear before the committee and answer what questions they may be agitating or bordering the delegates.
It was gathered that  Jega has already forwarded some vital documents to the co-chairmen of the committee ahead of his today’s visit.
