Jama’a LGA chair commends Sani for prioritising security 

The chairman Jema’a local government area, Mr. Yunana Markus Barde, has commended the governor of Kaduna state, Alhaji Uba Sani, for prioritising security among other sectors in the state.

The chairman gave the recommendation while launching new uniforms and commissioning of office of the 500 recruited Jema’a local government members of the Kaduna state Vigilante Service (KADVS) in Kafanchan recently.

Barde said the recruitment of 700 vigilantees by the Senator Sani administration in Kaduna state is enhancing the combat of insecurity, banditry and other unwanted activities against criminal elements in the state, as well as providing employment to many.

He noted that his administration at the local government level has taken the issue of security with all seriousness since assuming office in November 2021 when the area was bedeviled with one security challenge and another.

Comrade Yunana commended all the groups and stakeholders, especially security personnel, women, youth, traditional and religious leaders, that have been instrumental to ensuring normalcy and lasting peace return to the area. 

He stated that the relative peace enjoyed now is as a result of the collective efforts of all people in the area who have resolved to give peace a chance to pave way for rapid and meaningful development.

The chairman tasked the members of KADVS to discharge their duties diligently without fear or favour, saying that he has the believe that all of them are men and women of integrity.
