Jaba LG reschedules PDP congresses

The returning officer of the concluded People’s Democratic Party (PDP) rescheduled congresses in Jaba local government area (LGA) of Kaduna state, Simon Yakubu Arabo, said the party has concluded the election of 17 officials in 10 wards of Jaba local government area.

He stated this in Kwoi, headquarters of Jaba local government area, immediately after he read the list of the winners in the five wards that the congresses were held and those that were returned elected.

He said the wards that agreed on consensus include: Nduya, Sab-zuro, Nok, Dura/Bitaro, and Fai wards. The wards that rejected consensus in favour of election are: Fada, Sabchem, Daddu, Samban, and Chori wards, and the congresses were conducted and winners emerged and were returned elected.

He further said: “I’m satisfied with the conduct of the rescheduled congress election.

“If you can recall, yesterday, it was only in one of the wards (Fai Ward) that the election was inconclusive, but instead of us going back to conduct a fresh election, the key players in Fai Ward saw reasons and agreed on a consensus and they came back with a harmonised list. They all endorsed the list, and we are happy with it,” he stated.
