It’s ungodly to organise prayer for Yahoo boys, C&S warns members

The Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Nigeria  Monday warned those parading themselves as leaders of the church to organise prayer for Yahoo boys to desist from the act.

The Osun state chairman of the C&S Unification Church, Apostle Samuel Onigbinde, who spoke to journalists during the 99th year pre-centenary anniversary of establishment of the church in Osogbo, stated that one of the problems the church is facing is  members using the white garment to perpetrate crimes.

He  said the doctrine of founder of C & S, Moses Orimolade, is fasting and prayer and not rituals as some leaders are now known for.

“One of the essences of the unification among the church is to fight strange practices among members. C&S is not for Yahoo boys, those prophets hiding under the white garment to perpetrate such evils must stop. A committee is already in place to ensure everyone conforms with the teachings of Prophet Moses Orimolade of blessed memory.”

The convener of the pre-centenary revival, Pastor Elijah, attributed the rising number of churches to lack of jobs in the country.

“The joblessness in Nigeria has made many people turn their ability to the church. It is also unfortunate that clerics have been romancing the political class and could no longer hold them accountable for their actions and inaction in government. The increase in crime rate despite the proliferation of religion centres is as a result of failure of religious leaders.

“I call on our leaders to stop fraternising with politicians in order to hold them accountable while in public office,” Elijah added.

Primate Durojaye Adereti, traced the problem of Nigeria to the FESTAC 77 where he said everything that is against the will of God was practiced.
