Islamic cleric set to unveil poetry book

A leading Islamic cleric from Niger State, Malam Dada Paiko, is set to present his debut collection of poetry to the public.

Entitled apthongs, the book will be presented to the public in Minna on February 15 at Himma International College.

Expected to grace the event are the governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani Bello, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb Zubairu Dada.

While the Emir of Minna, Dr Umar Farouk Bahago is expected to serve as the royal father of the day, the Chairman of Urban Shelter, Malam Ibrahim Aliyu, is expected to serve as the chief launcher.

A former Chief Press Secretary to the governor of Niger state,  Dr Ibrahim Dooba, is billed to review the book at the event.

The collection is published under the cleric’s pen name, Muhib Aslu, by Amab Books.
