Intervene in Delta APC crisis, party chieftain urges Buhari


A chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) Mr. Paul Odili has appealed to President Mohammadu Buhari to settle the crisis rocking the party in Delta state.

Mr. Odili said that the court cases were weapon to divide the party members and create more problems in the state.

APC chieftain also called on the Vice President Osinbajo and the National chairman  of the party, Mr. Adams Oshiomohle  to bring  the aggrieved factions together so as to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

Mr. Odili who contested under APC for Ukwani/Ndokwa federal constituency at the just concluded election stated this in Asaba.

He appealed to the members of the party to shield their sword and come together to avoid Delta APC losing a juicy oppositions at the federal level.

According to him, “the crisis may deny us a serious recognitions and appointment at the federal level. It is the same crisis that caused our poor performance at the elections in the state. If we were working as a team, we would have performed optimally.

“Now, the court cases in our party has become a weapon  that they are using to divide us. And PDP is benefiting much in this APC crisis.

“For APC to make progress,  parties involved must come together for the interest of all. All of us who were candidates were affected by the court judgement especially those that won the elections”

He thanked the leadership of the party for zoning the Deputy Senate President to south -south region, noting that there are two ranking Senators of the APC in the region, as he urged them to consider Delta state for the position.

“Please give Delta the opportunity to be part of the leadership of the 9th National Assembly. Elections are over, we looking forward for a new administration and we thanked our party for zoning the posion to south-south. Apart from PDP senators, the two ranking senators in APC are Senator Ovie Omo-agege from Delta and Senator Francis Alimekhena from Edo therefore, we appealed to consider Delta” he said.
