Insurgency: Nigerian military capable – Obanikoro

The Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro once again affirmed that the Nigerian military from inception has been acclaimed to be able and capable to wage and win any warfare, both home and abroad.
Senator Obanikoro made thi confirmation during the shipping of stripes for newly promoted Naval Officers in Abuja.
He said that the Nigerian Military force has been known to be a disciplined, responsible and capable of bringing down any uprising against our collective peace and unity as a nation.
Obanikoro reinstated this when his newly promoted ADC, Lt AO Adewale was being stripped with his new rank of Lt Cdr, also Lt SO Azeez was also stripped with his new rank of Lt Cdr.
He enjoined the promoted officers to see their new rank as a call to greater responsibility in their patriotic service to their father land.
Responding, the ADC, Lt Cdr AO Adewale on behalf of his colleaque appreciated the mentorship he had enjoyed from the Minister and did promise to take up the challenges of the new rank and its attendant need of greater responsibility to duty.
The colorful ceremony was attended, by the Permanent Secretary, of the Ministry, a former Minister of Aviation, Dr Fanni Kayode, Directors, and family members of the newly promoted officers.
