Insecurity: RCCG pastor raises alarm over threat to brother’s life

Pastor Bimbo Fafowora of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), His Glory Tabernacle parish Mowe in Ogun state has cried out over reported Fatwah (religious declaration) slammed on his cousin, Emmanuel Komolafe, for allegedly being an anti-Islam and a spy to the United kingdom government.

To this end, the cleric said Emmanuel’s picture has been shared among the extremist even as he feared that Boko Haram may lie in wait for Emmanuel.

The alleged incident reportedly happened in Leeds, Northern England,  United Kingdom between 2014 and 2015.

The Pastor said he was concerned and feared for Emmanuel’s life if he returned to Nigeria as he was wanted by some religious extremist in the country.

Blueprint gathered that neither his aged father in Nigeria, nor friends have heard from him since they were intimated of the threat to his life last January.

It was gathered that the said Emmanuel had denied being a spy to UK government.

Besides, his aged father Komolafe who is blind is now bed-ridden after hearing of the threat to his son’s life.

A source in the neighborhood who craved for annonimity said Emmanuel’s father feared his son would be killed by religious extremist.

The source appealed to the Islamic leaders and authorities to intervene and prevent shedding of an innocent life.

Efforts to get reaction from police proved abortive as the authorities did not respond to text massages or calls put across to them.
