Industrialist tasks Akpabio on roads, electricity

An Akwa Ibom based Local manufacturing industry for the production of palm products Jekon Integrated Farm Nigeria Limited has called on the state government for the provision of adequate supply of electricity and Access Roads for effective production and distribution of goods in order to boost the economy of the state.
Managing director of the farm Mr. Una Ama Akpan made the call on Monday while conducting journalists round the factory sites at Obot Obom Etoi in Uyo.
“Our major challenge is poor access road and epileptic supply of electricity.  Because of bad road our vehicles get damaged all the time. It is our intention that our products get integrated into the Family Life Enhancement Programme pet project of Her Excellency Mrs. Ekaette Uluma Akpabio to boost the state economy; reduce unemployment and poverty in the state”
Mr. Akpan explained that at the end of the day the company hoped to mobilize all dealers in palm produce to ensure the sustainability of the economy through agro-industrial projects.
According to him despite the challenges confronting indigenous industries in the State, his farm was poised in reduction of poverty and unemployment in the society.
The managing director disclosed that the Jekon Integrated Farm Nigeria Limited products were of international standards stressing that the products were patronized all over Nigeria.
Our correspondent reports that some of the company’s products included soap,  cream, package, palm produce, technical palm oil, (TPO), palm kernel oil, palm (PKC), cake laundry soap, jelly an feeds amongst others.
