In Gombe, APC endorses Goje’s expulsion, passes confidence vote on Inuwa 

Members of the executive  committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akko local government area of Gombe state have passed a vote of confidence on the state governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for his tremendous achievements and the exemplary leadership he provides to the party in the state.

This was contained in a communique issued at the end of the meeting held by members of the executive committee at Akko LGA Tuesday.

The communiqué said the committee members commended the giant and unprecedented developmental strides witnessed under the leadership of Governor Yahaya in all facets of human endeavour even amid challenging times and circumstances.

He said the governor did not only address some major socio-economic challenges in Akko LGA and throughout the state but has also succeeded in entrenching inclusive growth and sustainable development across the state.

“In recognition of his tremendous achievements and the exemplary leadership he provides to our great party in Gombe state, we wish to declare unanimously, our vote of confidence on the governor and also restate unequivocally, our unflinching support and unalloyed loyalty to him and his administration,” the communiqué partly read.

The executive committee also acknowledged its receipt of the resolution of the Kashere Ward executive committee of the APC regarding the expulsion of the Senator representing Gombe Central, Sen. Muhammad Danjuma Goje over anti-party activities.

“We wish to state categorically that we are fully in support of the APC Kashere Ward executive committee’s decision and we hereby endorse their decision to expel Senator Goje from the APC. We believe that all constitutional procedures of fair hearing and disciplinary steps have been satisfactorily followed by the Ward executive committee and we therefore call on the leadership of our great party APC to immediately strip Sen. Goje of all rights and privileges given to party members.”
