Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has declared Friday as “Food Shopping day” to enable citizens come out and buy food stuff and other items for Sunday’s Easter celebrations.
Although, the lockdown is expected to continue the next day being Saturday, citizens, especially traders have already programmed themselves to trade throughout the weekend in readiness for Monday for the continuation of the sit-at-home order.
Residents have been telling stories of losses since nearly two weeks the order was issued and have pleaded with the governor to give it a human face by relaxing some of the measures and provide the necessary palliatives for the people.
