Imo: Cleric describes S/Court judgement as ‘an act of God’

The founder of Highway to Grace Assembly Ministry, Nsukka, Reverend  Chika Madu, has urged Imo residents to see the Supreme Court judgment of Tuesday that ushered in a new government in the state as an act of God.

The cleric said  in Nsukka Thursday that all authorities come from God and anything God did not approve would not happen.

“God, as the creator of the universe is all knowing and anything He did not approve, will not come to pass.

“His ways are not our ways and His thoughts not our thoughts.

“That is why God says in the Bible that, “in every situation, we should give Him thanks and praises”.

The cleric said that even before the 2019 general elections, God knew that INEC would declare Ihedioha winner, but the Supreme Court would nullify it.

“I urge Imo residents to see the Tuesday judgement as an act of God and give maximum support to the governor, Hope Uzodimma, since every authority comes from God.

“If residents accept the judgement as the will of God, the state will divinely move to the next level in no distant time,” he said.

The man of God advised the governor to carry everybody in the state along in his administration, irrespective of religion or political party affiliation as a way of showing appreciation to God.

“The governor should know that he cannot give God money or property, but the only thing God expects from him is good governance and to carry everybody in state along.

“He is not more righteous than any other person for God to have given him victory at the Supreme Court, but because God has a purpose of making him the governor of Imo at this time.

“Also, Emeka Ihedioha should also not see his removal as governor of Imo by the Supreme Court on Tuesday as the end of the world, but believe that God is preparing him for a greater position,” he said.

The Supreme Court had Tuesday removed Mr Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as governor of the state and declared Senator  Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the 2019 governorship election. (NAN)
