Imo: Archbishop Obinna tasks Uzodinma on good governance

The Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Most Reverend Anthony Obinna has urged the governor of Imo state, Chief hope Uzodinma to do well to see that those dividends of democracy delivered by Chief Emeka Ihedioha within seven months in power are sustained by him for the good of Imo people.

Obinna, who was speaking during a Eucharist Service at the weekend, made it clear that he had expected Chief Emeka Ihedioha in the service and not him being the original plan, only to hear that the Supreme Court had ruled in  his(Uzodinma’s) favour in what he described as “Ambiguity of  Judgment”.

While maintaining that he was not expecting the change of government in the state because things had started moving fine as Ihedioha showed that he was ready to wor for the people, he told Uzodinma to sustain the payment of staff salaries, payment of pensions which was improved upon by Ihedioha, sustain the improvement of different institutions and continue the road construction and rehabilitation going on all over the state.

Responding, Chief Hope Uzodinma explained that he decided to run for the 2019 Governorship when former governor, Rochas Okorocha insisted that his son in-law must succeed him, claiming that there was no man in the state. He came in, fought  and collected the party’s flag to run for the election and that what he had just done was to collect back his stolen mandate. He assured that he would deliver the desired dividends to the people, adding that Imo people needed a man of capacity and that the man in charge at the moment is “Mr Capacity”.

The Archbishop later prayed God to give Ihedioha the heart to bear what happened and asked God for forgiveness of sins of all.
