Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen in Islam, Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke yesterday advised Muslims to imbibe the objectives of Ramadhan fasting.
Olagoke gave the advice in Oyo while delivering a pre-Ramadhan lecture organised by NTA Oyo entitled “Ramadhan, the month of knowledge and mercy” to usher in this year’s Ramadan fasting expected to commence this weekend.
He said: “The objectives are to correct our behaviour or attitudes and soul mate us with Allah in the spiritual realm.

“We must have respect for rules of law, keep good citizenry, and have a high respect for fundamental human rights of others.”
Olagoke stressed that at the end of the observed Ramadhan, the spiritual objectives must have been gained by the participants to achieve piety, body preservation from sins and soul purification for true divine inspiration.
Speaking further, Olagoke urged  Muslim youths to ignore the Boko Haram members  who he said were hiding under religion to commit crimes and take their education serious
“Taking a wrong step through examination malpractices to pass is not only criminal, jailable for seven years but also makes one incompetent to cope in higher classes because the prerequisite. Is not there.”
