A team of Pastors and Imams in Kaduna, yesterday, organised a special prayer for peace and unity of the country, as part of the 57th independence festivities, saying Nigerians deserved more than lip service to survive the trauma of inter-ethnic and religious conflicts.
The team leader of clerics, Yohanna Buru, who is the general overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna said, “what Nigeria needs is prayers, blessing from God and total commitment by its citizens to support the government”, urging all country men to support government at all levels through prayers for the country to forge ahead.
Buru disclosed that his group had mobilised clerics across the 23 local government areas of the state so as to educate their people on the importance of promoting peaceful co-existence between Muslims, Christians and people of other faith based organisations, and urged them to preach peace at all times.

”Prayer, being the primary method of communication between God and man, plays an important part in practically every religion in the whole planet. There are different ways that we can assist our nation’s leaders through prayer and such prayers protect the country and defend the people from all attacks.”
