IHVN launches twin tower campus facility in Abuja 

 

The Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN), has launched its state of the art twin tower campus facility in Abuja.

The institute stated this in a press release in Abuja weekend adding that the momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in the institute’s commitment to advancing research, education, and healthcare in the field of virology.

The IHVN is committed to tackling the urgent problems caused by infectious illnesses and enhancing public health in Nigeria and elsewhere. 

The campus will act as a centre for ground-breaking research, training the next generation of virologists, and providing top-notch healthcare services, thanks to its state-of-the-art facilities and resources.

The chairman, Board of Directors, Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria, Professor Emeritus Umaru Shehu, CFR, represented at the event said, “This occasion is bringing us together to remind us that in all parts of Nigeria, North, East, West, and South, the challenge of accessing quality health care delivery is the same, and it requires the intervention of our people, communities, governments at various levels, and international partners to improve the quality of our healthcare services.

“The commissioning of the IHVN Campus gives us hope that we can curb today’s emerging diseases of public health concern.”

Speaking at the launch, the CEO of the institute, Dr. Patrick Dakum said: “The official opening of the seven-story edifice beside mark the completion of the first phase of the project.

The first phase consists of the International Research Center of Excellence (IRCE), administrative offices for both the headquarters and Federal Capital Territory and let table spaces.”
