IG, boundary commission, others get transparency award

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, the National Boundary Development Commission and Comptroller General of Customs and Immigration are among prominent Nigerians and institutions to receive Transparency Advocacy for Development Initiative (TADI) awards.

 A statement by the national president of the initiative, Mr. Yomi David, said those being honoured are outstanding in their services to the nation and should be encouraged.

Yomi said: “As part of our germane objectives to ensure competent service delivery and accountability in public institutions, the TADI had discreetly embarked on independent administrative scrutiny of public institutions and establishment to critical assess their effectiveness, efficiency and service delivery mechanisms towards their communities.

“Sequel to the aforementioned after deep unbiased scrutiny and critical assessment, the initiative has identified and singled out some institutions and individuals that are outstanding in their various categories in public service assessment scorecard with the intent to commend, eulogise and encourage them for their selfless service to contemporary humanistic embodiment and our fatherland,” he said.
