In a stirring goodwill message that has captured the attention of stakeholders and the general public, Mr. Chuma Emmanuel Onah, a passionate disability rights advocate, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the federal government of Nigeria for its commitment to inclusivity.
He highlighted the successful hosting of this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, themed “Amplifying Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future.”
Mr. Onah praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for creating an enabling environment that ensured the success of the event. He lauded the president’s consistent demonstration of love and support for persons with disabilities, describing it as a gesture that restores faith in humanity and underscores the administration’s commitment to fostering inclusion.
The event also served as a platform to recognise the significant efforts of key players in the disability advocacy space. Mr. Onah extended special congratulations to the Chief Hosts: Hon. Muhammed Abba Isa, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, and Mr. Ayuba Gufwam, Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities.
